Camping season begins (for me, anyway) this weekend. This is a mere warmup act for our 3rd and 4th Grade boys, who will then be going to Webelos Outdoor Weekend, at Dan Beard Council’s Camp Friedlander , the following weekend. My best friend Andrew and I will be camping with our sons next month, for our seventh annual Father’s Day weekend. I’d heard about Netflix years ago, back when you ordered movies and they delivered them to your door and then you had to mail them back before you could get more. I’m sure the service was great for those more organized, or more patient, or more clairvoyant than I am. To have used that service I would have needed to remember to order movies long before I wanted to watch them. I’d have had to wait to see something I’d decided I wanted to see, and I would have had to know what I’d actually feel like watching days before my few hours of free time arrived.
